An electrofusion tapping saddle is used to tap into a HDPE pipeline. With a size range from 40 x 20 mm to 250 x 63 mm, electrofusion tapping saddle fittings come in SDR 11 (which also suits SDR 13.6 & SDR 17). Electrofusion tapping saddle fittings are made from PE100 material with a precisely moulded energising coil of wire, ensuring uniform melting for a strong electrofusion joint and the minimisation of welding and cooling times. SDR 11, SDR 13.6 and SDR17 electrofusion tapping saddles are rated to PN16 water and 1000 kPa gas.

Tapping saddle electrofusion fittings are suitable for use for HDPE pipe, and welded with an electrofusion pressure welder. Electrofusion tapping saddle PE fittings may also be known as an electrofusion tapping saddle joiners or EF tapping saddle pipe joiners.
